A proud Keswick local, Richard has always believed pets deserve the same care and attention we’d give family. Whether it’s walking, grooming, or simply spending time with your four-legged friend, his goal is to make life easier for pet owners and happier for pets.

Yoderbird began the way all good things do… with a kid, a dog, and a whole lot of heart.
Richard Jones grew up on Sunnyfield Farm in Keswick, where his days were spent chasing dogs through tall grass and learning the quiet rhythm of life alongside horses. From the start, he understood that animals aren’t just pets, they’re family, teachers, and the purest kind of friend.
As he got older, that childhood love never faded. Whether it was helping a neighbor with their stubborn pup or rescuing a stray that wandered too close to the barn, Richard’s care for animals became second nature.
Yoderbird was born from that lifelong bond; a promise to treat every animal like his own. Today, what started on a small Virginia farm has grown into a trusted local name in pet care, built on compassion, reliability, and the belief that happy pets make happy people.
